We pride ourselves in our approach to mixed-faith families and welcome non-Jewish spouses and partners as affiliate members. We are happy to arrange marriage blessings for mixed-faith couples according to the guidelines of the Liberal Judaism Rabbinic Conference. For those non-Jews who have the desire and the commitment to undergo the rigours of the course, we will provide teaching leading to conversion to Judaism. We are also able to make burial in a Jewish cemetery available to non-Jewish spouses and civil partners of members, so that couples in a mixed faith relationship in life can also be buried together. Please contact our Rabbi, Frank Dabba Smith, at the Synagogue for more information about questions involving Jewish status and acts of prayer.

If you are interested in joining the Synagogue please ring the Synagogue office on 020-8864-5323 weekdays between 10.00am and 1.00pm and ask for Lindsey Cohen, or email Lindsey direct at lindsey.cohen9@googlemail.com.

For news about our members, including a welcome to our new members click here for the Membership Information Page.

*Membership benefits include High Holyday tickets for members and their children under the age of 21, and membership of the HWPS Funeral Scheme at no extra contribution for those under the age of 50 at the time of joining. A one-off joining fee applies for members aged over 50 to cover increased rates for funeral insurance.

When you join HWPS you will be asked (and expected) to sign a Gift Aid declaration to enable us to to reclaim from HMRC any income tax that you have already paid on your payment. Every year, nearly one fifth of our income comes from HMRC in this manner, so helping to keep subscriptions lower than they would otherwise be.

Members are required to comply with the Constitution of the Synagogue, a copy of which can be obtained from the Synagogue office.
